THE 3 PILLARS OF THE EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH 2

Thursday, March 21, 2013

..........Out of this conversion of heart arises the second pillar represented by Apostle Peter. Peter’s epistle directs us to an understanding of the divine nature (2 pet 1v4).
A reformed life is the evidence of a genuine response to the gospel. Peter ‘s message centers on a new life, a future in God, living the kind of life Jesus lived on earth 1 peter 2v21-25, the testimony of our reformed life or holiness should draw people to Jesus, cultivating inner beauty; Peter teaches about a life conceived by God himself and us learning to think like God 1 peter 4v 1-2.
James 2v14-18 tells us about James’ message which is Faith shown by works and possessing the spirit of service. James epistle is the third pillar of the early church. James 2 v 17.A true Christian will possess the compassion that naturally will reach out to serve those in need.

A genuine faith will serve or work.
The three pillars are the gospel, holiness and service. Each one must be well balanced and supported by the other.
If the gospel that is being preached is not producing changed lives zealous to serve it is not the gospel of the bible.

Peter James and john the pillars of our faith were eye witnesses of his majesty and handled the word of glory, Jesus (2 pet 1:16) it is wisdom to cling to the support these apostles offer and if we do so we can be assured we will not fall away into apostasy and the work we are building for God will stand fully supported and secure for eternity.

Celebrate you all!
