UNASHAMED?!?!
Friday, April 19, 2013……….God authorized and commanded me to commission you. Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near IN THIS WAY OF LIFE…….then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19(MSG)
As believers; saved and redeemed, we have a duty given to us by God to tell others about Jesus. It could be directly through evangelism, witnessing, outreaches, sermons, Christian gatherings or indirectly by sowing financial seeds/ideas into ministries or exemplary Christian living.
It is the heartbeat of God to have His name spread abroad but how well do we carry the name of God around. How important is His name to us?
We easily talk about people we love, people that have helped us or done something spectacular in our lives-humans, but what about Christ? He is not worth propagating? Are we ashamed or shy to speak about Christ either at work, school, on social network, to our friends? It’s funny how a lot of Christians find it so easy to post ungodly stuff…its cool and hip and ‘happening’ to do ‘the regular. You are boring or cheesy following Christ completely.
Hey! We can’t serve two masters at a time! Why not rock the world well rather than serving God today and growing cold tomorrow.
Something else comes up here, maybe we can’t talk to others about Christ because we do what we should be correcting others about. Can we boldly say the master is proud of our ways? Are we completely pure and working with God towards righteousness? Are we representing Christ?
I find that people look at our lives a lot and people respect and receive us more when our lives show forth Christ more than our words. We cannot overemphasize the essence and power of witnessing and evangelism but people would come to Christ easier if we lived right. NEVER CHEATED, NEVER STOLE, HARDLY CURSED, NEVER ENVIOUS, FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS AND WERE MORALLY UPRIGHT! A set of people that follow God earnestly and with a new kind of life Hallelujah!!!!!
Remember that you are saved to save others. We ought to carry His name around UNASHAMED IN CHARACTER AND POWERFUL TEACHINGS and revealing to others kingdom mysteries for their growth.
